Paul's birthday in the snow

Last Friday we had a last minute change of plans for Paul's birthday. we were supposed to go pheasant hunting all together but the weather in the high desert was so bad that the roads were closed. We decided we would take a drive to the snow and see what we could find. upon arriving to Gorman the surrounding mountains were full of snow but we kept on driving until we found the perfect spot. We had our dog with us and it was her first time in the snow. She loved it. She was bouncing all over the place and sniffing out small animals under all the bushes covered in snow. We found the best hill for us. Not too steep but just right to get a good ride on the sleds...
Unfortunately, our video camera had no tape in it so we did not get to video the fun..but we did bring the regular camera and here our some high lights....

Nathan is turning 1

My little nephew, Nathan is turning one in two weeks. I can't believe a year has already passed by. I remember that special day when he was born a year ago. What an amazing birth that was. Well Nate, Happy 1st birthday big boy.

Grandpa Chub turns 90

I came across this picture today and it reminded me that my grandfather will be turning 90 this October 1st. What amazing man. He is so special an doesn't even know it. I always smile when I think about him and the way he makes me laugh. My boys love to hang around him and even though we have not seen him in a couple months they still remember and quote some of grandpa Chub's funny sayings...I wish I could spend more time with him and my grandmother but it is hard to do. Life seems to always be so busy. i hope to spend the day with them soon.

Baseball season is here! Yeah!

This is one of my favorite times of year. I love watching my boys out on the baseball field learning the game and trying so hard to play ball. My boys are true Dodger fans and this year have been placed on the single A Dodgers again. We are all very excited. The only true bummer about this time of year is Paul works so many hours and looses out on some of the boys games, at least until April 15th. This is our boys second year in this division and I think they will do well. We have several friends on the team with us and that always makes it more fun.
